Steve F. Sapontzis, professor emeritus of philosophy at California State University East Bay (formerly California State University Hayward), taught philosophy at California State University Hayward from 1971 until 1999. Sapontzis is the author of Morals, Reason, and Animals (1987) and editor of Food for Thought: the Debate Over Eating Meat (2004).
